In honor of our friend, Fred, and his contributions to the community

Fred was a reliable, skilled, master plumber who provided critical services to many in our community. In support of this legacy, the Fred Fournier Memorial Scholarship will ensure that Wells High School students looking to pursue the trades are supported as they begin their careers. Financial support will help a graduating senior in paying for educational costs as they begin their career.

In January 2021, Fred died from injuries sustained in a snowmobile accident near Jackman, Maine. Fred was a proud graduate of Wells High School, former high school athlete, and big booster of the Wells High School athletics program. In the spirit of preserving Fred’s memory and honoring the contributions to the greater community, an annual Fred Fournier Memorial Scholarship has been established at Wells High School. While exact criteria will shift depending on profile of the graduating class, the beneficiary will be a deserving student pursuing a career in the trades.

Please consider a contribution as we work to seed this fund for the years to come.
